Have always appreciated NYT's detailed bylines (especially when they go into process, interviewed X number of people, reviewed Y documents etc.) but I wish they'd do similar for photographers, especially when a piece has such a distinctive visual style like this one: www.nytimes.com/2026/04/26/w...

We were in #Japan last month and were concerned about the hoards of tourists (so many, including me and my gang of two). Fujiyoshida is at center of a fight against badly behaved tourists. Roughly 42m in 2025. Pressure building to limit the number of visitors. www.nytimes.com/2026/04/26/w...

Japan is officially fed up with unruly tourists during cherry blossom season. Honestly, we just don't know how to act in public anymore.

In Japan, the Fight Is on Against Unruly Tourists Huge crowds of visitors during cherry blossom season have put a picturesque Japanese town on edge. Some residents are trying to take charge. https://www.nytimes.com/2026/04/26/world/asia/japan-fuji-tourism-cherry-blossoms-overtourism.html
