Deeply saddened to learn that David Plowden, one of American's finest photographers, has died. His photographed things that were fading away, from steam trans to rural ways of life, viewing the world with compassion, yet without sentimentality. A true gentle man. www.nytimes.com/2026/06/13/a...

I’ve encountered some of Plowden’s work in exhibitions but there’s a lot more to see. What a wonderful career.
