We get the benefit today of hearing Bob talk about 80. (Bob wisely didn’t give the man who wouldn’t listen anyway any advice). I think of all the time lyrics Dylan wrote over the years like time is an ocean but it ends at the shore and now his thoughts on time at 80.

It turns out that Dylan doesn’t have any thoughts for Trump, actually. At least, none that he was willing to share or that the Times was willing to print. This is so ridiculous.

Dylan at 85: "you outlive the clocks that have been chasing you." Then he describes a man rushing to become something, haunted, programmed, still chasing the parade. Trump at 80 is the inverse of every wisdom Dylan just laid down. The old king still wants the crown polished.
