Billy Corgan Unloads After a Lifetime of ‘Mocking, Bullying, Laughing’ (Gift Article)

I rolled my eyes at this at the pictures alone. But then I went back and listened to Siamese Dream and maybe he has a point about being underrated?

I don’t understand what he means, and I could really give a fuck

Man would rather befriend Marylin manson and be an alt right asshole then go to counseling www.nytimes.com/2026/10/23/a...

Man. If the goal was to look like a total loser crybaby, nicely done. If you can say this with a straight face, you deserve mockery: "I’m going to shock you by not playing a contrarian today.” Total loser energy, only shared since its so emblematic of a certain type of entitled gen-x dude.

This is the cost of letting your insecurities be your primary motivator. He wanted to be a rock star to prove the bullies wrong. But you will never get the satisfaction that you crave. And despite commercial and critical success, he will never be happy www.nytimes.com/2026/10/23/a...

I’ve only ever heard anyone mock or just be disgusted by or disappointed in his regressive politics. I can’t tell you what his teeth look like, and I was a teenager in the 90s and 00s. He still sounds like one.

Billy Corgan is back and - despite his new career as a podcast host - has learned nothing about how to handle a basic interview. Inflated self importance, grudges against a legion of perceived enemies, this is classic Billy and a prime example of why the Pumpkins don’t get the recognition he craves

I've noticed when normal people say they "played the heel" it's never clear what, if anything, they got from playing the heel.

I love Billy Corgan, who is the Platonic Ideal of Billy Corgan. He never changes. The photos in this story are incredible.

has he tried shutting the fuck up

There’s this really long pause, and he goes, ‘I don’t know the person who made this record.’ And I said, ‘Daddy, I’ve been here the whole time.' www.nytimes.com/2026/10/23/a...
