UK holding talks with EU about return to free movement

This does not surprise me in the slightest and I think we’re getting little hints about it in the public statements. www.thetimes.com/article/4ef6...

The UK is holding talks with the EU to inform the government outlining future options/scenarios about the next decade. For example, using diplomatic channels to check UK understands that EU sees free movement is part of the single market + full EU membership! www.thetimes.com/article/4ef6...

Talks ≠ negotiation Perfectly reasonable to gather information ahead of discussing options. Will assume full and faithful reporting back by govt back into whatever process unfolds in UK www.thetimes.com/article/4ef6...

Not sure this merits the headline www.thetimes.com/article/4ef6...
