U.S. to Send Dozens Back to Afghanistan, Despite Risk of Persecution (Gift Article)

BREAKING: The Trump administration has detained dozens of Afghan immigrants in Louisiana — including relatives of those who helped the U.S. military — and plans to deport them to Afghanistan, according to U.S. officials.

I’ve been hearing this rumor for weeks, but was unable to confirm. Grateful NYT was able to. ICE Air’s evil has no bottom, but I thought they’d at least have the strategic foresight to wait until after Election Day. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/30/w...

NY TIMES: "By sending them to Pakistan — which would then send them to Afghanistan — the administration has found a way around the hurdles that have so far prevented vulnerable Afghans from being sent back to face repression or retaliation by the Taliban."

“The group includes people who could face discrimination or persecution under the Taliban, including relatives of people who helped the U.S. military and at least one gay man. More than 150 Afghan immigrants are expected to be deported” dishonorable, illegal.

Every day, the US sinks deeper into infamy. Not only is it complicit in russia’s crimes, but now it is prepared to deport Afghans, incl. some who helped the US military to Pakistan, from where they could be handed over to the Taliban, who will torture them to death. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/30/w...

More than 150 Afghan immigrants are being deported to Pakistan so that Pakistan can deport them back into the Taliban's arms (since US law prohibits our gov. "from deporting people to countries where courts have ruled they would most likely face persecution.") 🧵 www.nytimes.com/2026/10/30/w...

Shameful. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/30/w...

The Trump Administration has betrayed the Afghans who aided the U.S. military, at great risk to themselves.

This makes me absolutely livid. These people trusted us and helped us keep American soldiers safe. Part of the deal was giving them safety here. Who the fuck Is Steven Miller to decide that the don't belong here . They've done more than any citizen to protect soldiers. Nobody elected the Nazi

“The officials say the deportation is, in effect, to Afghanistan, and that is what the detainees have been told by ICE. But Pakistan will oversee their expulsion over the border to Afghanistan. The first flight is expected to leave as soon as Nov. 2.”

Shameful. Utterly shameful. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/30/w...

I tried to warn people. I said repeatedly that Trump and his minion of evil, Stephen Miller, would move to deport our Afghan wartime allies back to Afghanistan where they face certain torture and death at the hands of the Taliban. No one will ever trust us again. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/30/w...

Just in case you are not sufficiently infuriated, Trump has ordered the deportation of about 150 Afghan immigrants from Louisiana back to Afghanistan. At least 1 is gay, and some of the others helped the US military. We're getting a great reputation around the world. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/30/w...

Afghan immigrants who spent decades building lives in the US now face an imminent death sentence. Bypassing legal hurdles, the US will deport over 150 Afghans to Pakistan, knowing Islamabad will immediately expel them across the border to face Taliban retribution.

🚨 Legal Help Needed 🚨 NYTimes reporting that 150+ Afghans are being targeted for forced relocation to Pakistan, where they are to be turned over to Taliban. If you know an immigration lawyer (or Habeus Corpus attorney) please DM me. Most of these men don’t have lawyers and need urgent petitions.
